Maxcom Petroli SpA is a part of the Fintermica group
of companiese. In 1986 Texaco SpA was purchased by
Fintermica, and since that time the company has been
known as Maxcom Petroli SpA. The company has a turnover
of around $ 500 million with sales of about one million
tonnes per year. The core business include:
* Wholesale and retail of oil
products
* Marine Fuels
* Aviation Fuels
Domestic Market
Maxcom main activities are carried
out in Northern Italy. Eighty percent of sales are
concluded in the Lombardia, Piemonte, Liguria and
Veneto regions. The balance are in central and southern
Italy, mainly around Rome, Naples and Sicily. In 2002
sales were been around 818.000 Tons.
Marine Fuels Market
The company owns a 57.000 cbm
terminal in Augusta (Sicily) which handles most of the
150.000 tonnes per year of marine fuels sales.
Through-put agreements with other oil terminals in
Venice account for the balance.
Aviation
The Company is active in two main
areas of this industry:
* Contractual sales, are made
to the indipendent jt fuel buyers operatig in the
main airports in northern Italy (Milano Linate,
malpensa, Torino and Bologna)
* Direct sales, are carried out at
Ciampino Airport, Rome, by Aeronavale, another fully
owned by Maxcom. Aeronavale delivers fuel utilising its
own facilities to scheduled airlines as well as
chartered and private aircraft.
